Terms & Conditions

The rules for using this website, your account, the free month and your orders — in plain language.

Version 1.0 Effective 8 October 2026 QDesk Data Solution and Services

Who these terms are between

These terms apply to everyone who uses this website or creates an account on it. When your institution places an order, the Software Licence and Services Agreement accepted at checkout also applies; where the two differ, the Agreement governs.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and authorised by your institution to act for it.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Give accurate details — school name, billing and GST information — and keep them up to date.

The free month

A hosted plan can be used free for 30 days, once per school account, as set out in the Free Trial Policy. Nothing is owed if you do not subscribe. We may decline or end a free month that is being misused.

Orders and payment

  • Prices are in Indian Rupees and GST is added as shown at checkout.
  • A licence is issued once payment is confirmed. Refunds are only as set out in the Refund Policy.
  • Plans are annual and do not renew automatically; you will be reminded before your term ends.

Your school's data is your responsibility — please keep backups

Your institution is solely responsible for the data it enters into e-SchoolPortal.Net — students, staff, attendance, fees, results and everything else — and for keeping its own copies of that data.

Servers, data centres, hosting providers, internet connections, power supply, hardware and software can all fail, and data can be lost or corrupted through accidents, cyber-attacks, natural events and other mishaps — some within our control and many beyond it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, QDesk Data Solution and Services accepts no responsibility or liability for the loss, corruption or unavailability of your data, however it happens, and does not guarantee that any data can be restored, even where we have taken a backup of our own.

  • Take a full backup regularly — at least once a week — using the Full Backup feature in the software (School Management System → Tools → Full Backup), and keep the file somewhere safe outside the system.
  • Or subscribe to our data backup service, where it is offered for your plan.
  • Export again before major events: the start of a session, promotions, fee-structure changes, or a software update.
You are asked to confirm this separately when you start a free month and when you place an order, and it forms part of the Software Licence and Services Agreement (Clauses 9.2 to 9.5). Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be excluded by law.

Acceptable use

  • Use the software only for your own institution's administration and within your plan's student limit.
  • Do not attempt to break, probe or overload the service, or to reach another school's data.
  • Do not upload unlawful content, malware, or personal data you have no right to process.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or events outside our control, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited as set out in the licence agreement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss of data (see the section on data above).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version and date at the top of this page show which version applies. Changes do not alter an agreement your institution has already accepted.

Questions about this policy

Ask us anything, any time — before your free month, during it, or after you subscribe.

This document states our commercial policy in plain language. The binding instrument between your institution and QDesk Data Solution and Servicesis the Software Licence and Services Agreement accepted at checkout, a copy of which is kept in your customer account. Where this document and that Agreement differ, the Agreement governs. Nothing here takes away any right conferred on you by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
